Day 1: Hazyview
Gorgeous Views At Chestnut Country Lodge, Hazyview

Meet your safari tour guide at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg or a local airport around Greater Kruger Park and start your African family safari. Enjoy a scenic drive to the small town of Hazyview, located outside Kruger Park. From there you check in to your guest house. The views here are simply beautiful as you look down into the Sabie River valley.

That afternoon, you enjoy some time with African Elephants learning about their plight on the African continent. In the evening, you will enjoy a good meal at the guesthouse. Raise your glass, your African safari finally begins!

Day 2: Southern Kruger National Park

You get up early and head off 20 minutes down the road to start you Kruger National Park safari. Kick back in style and enjoy your big five safari from an open safari vehicle guided by your safari guide.

The park is home to an amazing array of animals from the infamous BIG 5 to chameleons and over 500 species of birds. The game drive is a whole day affair and offers you the opportunity to find as many animals as possible. A private vehicle can be requested if you prefer to do this for a shortened period if your children prefer, just as a family.

After your safari, you head back to your guest house and enjoy another awesome meal under the stars.

Day 3: Panorama Route Tour
The Famous Panorama Route Tour, Kruger National Park

Your morning begins with a drive along the Panorama Route. Make your way up the ridge enjoying sites like The Three Rondavels, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and God’s Window. Along the way, enjoy the pine and eucalyptus plantations, waterfalls and traditional shopping

After a full morning of touring, you travel through some magnificent cultural heartland of South Africa to your first safari lodge of the trip.

Day 4: Conservation and Safari

After a guided bush walk and breakfast, you’ll go to an animal rehabilitation centre. This is home to many animals that have either been injured or poisoned and cannot be released back into the wild. The centre has won many awards and has been featured on National Geographic.

After that, you head back to the lodge and enjoy some lunch, a siesta (you deserve it) and then embark on an awesome game drive. Dinner tonight will be served in a “boma” or traditional enclosure, the kids will love it!

Days 4-6: Private Game Reserve

Up early, you’ll go on a guided walk looking for cheetah before sitting down to a good breakfast. Your guide and driver will then take you out of the reserve and head east to a private concession within Kruger National Park.

Enjoy 4 nights at a safari lodge. It is a unique experience to be out in the middle of the African bush with lions calling and leopards leaving their tracks for you to follow. A morning and evening game activity will keep you on the edge of your seat.

There will be lots of time between game activities to spend time together. There will be a pool and lots of space for the kids to play in, back to nature for them! That’s exactly what our African family safari is all about.
