Shaka Zulu was a merciless warrior who fought like there was no tomorrow. Luckily, things are much more peaceful now in Zululand and thus, we honour our heritage by introducing a safari along the path he used to follow when bartering with the Tsonga people in Mozambique. Start off in South Africa’s oldest game reserve, then spend a few days in a magnificent coastal forest followed by some serious beach days chillaxing in 26°C (79°F) water… I mean, it doesn’t get better!

Days 1-3: A Story of The Zulu Kingdom

From Durban, your transfer will fetch you from the terminal and deliver straight into the heart of Northern Zululand.

What sets our chosen lodge apart is a breathtaking combination of its comprehensive natural views and innovative architecture. The specialist guides take pleasure in bringing you unique wildlife encounters in this vast haven for protected species such as rhinos and the rest of the Big 5.

Included in your safari is a night in the local village. The family will host you and invite you to join them in their daily tasks such as basket weaving, collecting thatching grass and wood and bringing the cattle home for the evening at sunset

En-suite luxury bush villa

Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Morning & afternoon game drives, walking safaris

Days 4-5: A Journey to a Wonderland

There are very few truly unspoilt places left in the world. The area surrounding this lodge is one of them. The lodge has been created in an eco-conscious way, using nature as a guide. The tent-style thatched forest rooms nestle under wide milkwood trees, with thoughtful attention to blending into this pristine indigenous sand forest environment. If it is authentic ambience you are looking for, this place will blow your mind!

To say this is one of the most beautiful places in Africa is an understatement, no picture does it justice. Enjoy relaxed days, sunshine and come on, take a walk on the beach and feel the sand between your toes, you know you want to.
