Kafue National Park and Victoria Falls Safari

ezahlukene Safari (Different)
(Ee-zaa-shloo-kee-nee)
When it comes to Zambia, most people think of The Luangwa Valley. Very few people know about Kafue National Park, the largest and oldest of Zambia’s conservation areas. We call this ‘the different safari’ because it’s something you will not see often. You start off at Kafue, in a place called Busanga Plains, an area that is home to more species of antelope and lion than any national park south of the Congo Basin. Then it is off to Victoria Falls where, on the Zambian side, you can expect a lot more privacy and plenty more spray from ‘the smoke that thunders’.
PLAN YOUR JOURNEY
This unforgettable journey is a favourite safari with guests from all over this beautiful globe of ours and showcases just a few of our favourite experiences. It can be changed or bits used to create your own bespoke safari, either for your partner, family, group of friends or as a gift.
Days 1-3: Journey into Wildest Africa
It is from Livingstone, Zambia that your safari starts. A charter flight will be waiting for you that takes you into Kafue.
Your lodge is found on a wooded island in the centre of the million-hectare Busanga Plains. Home to various lion pride territories and is said to provide some of the best lion viewing in Africa. These lions are often seen in and around camp.
Moriti also has access to an adventure camp in Kafue hidden beneath sycamore-fig trees. Due to the remoteness and shortened tourism season here (June-October), our presence is vital for the survival of this fragile and extraordinary ecosystem.
Days 4-6: Victoria Falls without the Crowds
The lodge we use is set on a small section of protected wilderness and has been designed to make the most of the private river frontage. Waking up with the majestic Zambezi River flowing just in front of your room is a truly exceptional experience!
The Lower Zambezi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has some of the best wildlife sightings in the world. Famous for its leopard population and elephant herds, this amazing destination is best experienced on foot with an experienced guide. Walking through the towering acacia forests, and searching for Africa’s famous wildlife is simply one of life’s unbeatable adventures.
Day 7: End of the Adventure
After a morning activity and a relaxed breakfast, your safari sadly comes to an end. A transfer will be ready to take you to Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport in Livingstone in time for your departure. Take some tissues along, you are going to be sad.
This safari can also be extended or act as an add-on to any of our other awesome safaris below.
